Duct fans combine the advantages of axial fans, i.e. straight air flow and easy installation, with those of the radial fans, such as high pressure stability, low noise level and high efficiency. Casing made off galvanized sheet steel as a rectangular air duct, with standard tube flanges (20 mm) at inlet and outlet side. Forwards curved radial impellers made of sheet steel or plastic.

The impellers are fitted directly onto the rotor of the external rotor motor. These units are balanced at two levels according to G 2.5 of DIN/ISO 1940. The motors are fitted with flying lead. The electrical connection can be made via an external terminal box (IP44), which is supplied loose. The performance curves for these fans have been established using the inlet test method in the test chamber according to DIN 24 163, mounting position D (connected at both sides).
